Oh an old sad iron (I don't know why they are called that - maybe someone else will). The wood handle is beautiful.
Your iron is adorable-I remember my Mum's flat-irons sitting on the back of the fuel stove staying hot!
What a wonderful keepsake to have from your past!
What a fun treasure, but I bet you are glad you don't have to use it anymore!
Your iron is now a piece of art. I love the shape of the handle.
I love it and it's much better for you because it's from your past.
LOVE your iron. And how great that you still had it. Wonderful vintage heirloom.Jocelynhttp://justalittlesouthernhospitality.blogspot.com/

What a neat little iron. Most people would not have thought about keeping it. I had one similar but it is gone now. What a nice memory to hand down.
How wonderful you still have this treasure...so cute!! It looks like you took excellent care of it too.Have a great weekend and a wonderful VTT!!
what a beautiful thing and so special that you still have it.
What a great little iron. How wonderful that you still have it! Thanks for sharing.Jane
Wonderful little flat iron...I think they were called sad irons because it was a sad day when you had to iron-heating the flat iron on a hot stove!
